Job Description
Monitor and record the civil construction at site, identifying potential risks and mitigation plans.
Monitor and record the construction schedule, including identifying potential delays.
Keep track of handovers from other construction parties and perform delay analysis.
Understand work scope, quantity and familiar with logical sequences in terms of engineering, procurement, construction, erection and commissioning disciplines.
Coordinates technical issues with other departments on projects including constructability requirements and reviews.
Check the civil and construction related technical designs and drawings to ensure that they are followed correctly.
Identify and report to Toshiba management / project manager on issues of technical and contractual importance on a regular basis and collate all information as necessary.
Communicate with architects, engineers and surveyors from clients, consortium, and subcontractors, including attending regular meetings to record the progress.
Review technical minutes of the meetings and comment if required.
Control the erection and installation subcontract packages
Attend technical meetings, major engineering / design meetings to monitor and report on possible variations / claims developing through such meetings, and other areas of risk for Toshiba’s position.
Undertake cost analysis for civil and construction works.
Prepare variations and claims as necessary to protect and pursue Toshiba’s entitlements.
Negotiate and defend against subcontractor, Owner and consortium claims and variations as necessary.
Day-to-day management of the site, including monitoring the work of any subcontractors
Ensure that health, safety, and environmental requirements at the job site are maintained to the highest standard
Requirements
・Knowledge of discipline engineering techniques, the design of engineered systems, civil engineering and design calculations.
・English: fluent or business level in speaking, reading and writing
・Power generation experience (e.g. coal fired power plants, gas fired power plants, geothermal power plants, hydro power plants) is preferable.
・Civil construction management and/or technical QS is mandatory.
・Building construction management and/or technical QS is mandatory.
・Minimum +10 years with civil construction and/or engineering companies is mandatory
・Must able to work as team.
・Analytical person.
・Communicative.
