Work details
- Manage and maintain business relationships with existing customers and update information periodically.
- Calculate sales prices, submit quotations and issue purchase orders to suppliers.
- Update raw material forecasts for customers, track remaining inventory and manage material deliveries.
- Sales management tasks such as registering and updating forward exchange contracts (WF) and credit limits.
- Periodic visits and phone calls to maintain customer relationships.
- Ensure collection of payments from customers.
- Expand and develop business relationships with new/potential/prospective customers.
- Register new products and new customers/suppliers in company's internal database.
- Market research and information gathering.
- Provide technical support, production and purchasing services in cooperation with suppliers/manufacturers.
- Increase company profits and expand product portfolio.
- Assist customers in resolving material delivery and production issues.
- Report to team leader regarding the above.
- Other related tasks as assigned
・English speaker (business level)
・Sales experience in Japanese Trading companies or chemicals related companies
・Understanding trade practices and practical experience with B2B transactions, especially in the chemical industry.
・General PC literacy (e.g. Word, Excel for creating reports and quotations).
・Experience in market research, developing new markets, and business proposals is a plus.
