Job Description
"- The Category Inventory Planning lead is trusted advisor to the Regional Planning lead to support the end-to-end inventory strategies and acts as a catalyst for driving continuous improvement through the development & optimization of supply planning.
- Building cross-team relationships, negotiating with merchandise planning, finance, logistics, resource planning and commercial to ensure the development of profitable inventory strategies through demand and supply alignment.
• Builds and manage complex and effective inventory strategies that align with financial objectives of the company
• Serve as a liaison between planning, supply planning, and inventory management to build delivery plans & flow forecasts
• Accountably for collaborating with Inventory Management Lead (ASP) and other Category Inventory Managers to resolve issues related to product shipment delays
• Recommend exception management activities
• Responsible for preparation of country S&OP (Sales & Operation Planning) and recommend profitable inventory decisions
• Critical support preparation of Regional S&OP
• Supply and Demand alignment including WOW
o Inventory Units & Value, Drive Inventory Health & Effectiveness, Mitigate supply & ship risk < 5%, Reduce E&O (<20%) and 360 days ageing (<3%)
• Recommend product close outs based on lifecycle.
• Provides Net requirements to SP to ensure production is sized in timely manner.
• Work together with SP to define and work out different Inventory optimization initiatives and define requirements
• Coordinate off-cycle requests/ requirement of affiliates - AGR
• Delivery Production requests to RP based on target Safety Stock, production lead time and supply chain strategies at PC9 level
• Owns communication with RP to prioritize plan, review/ late/no Pconf deliveries
• Ensure to achieve Service Level and Fill-rate
• System Report Update:
o Report FG Supply Planning Metrics through BI Reports to AMA Region, Provide corrective actions for Deviations if any, Analyze the FG Supply Planning Metrics through BI reports to enable faster business decisions, Periodically Review Supply Planning Master data i.e. LT, MSQ with Local RP/SSM for accurate FG planning
• Generate and Publish Product Plan

Requirements
"- 7-10 years Category Management experience (preferably in a retail environment)
- Previous direct supervisory or leadership experience
- Technical proficiency with computer software tools and the ability to learn new ones quickly (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, internal Ace applications)
- Strong analytical/problem solving capabilities including the ability to quickly identify and communicate implications from consumer, internal and marketplace information
- Demonstrated strength in analytics; identifying key issues and actionable insights from large amounts of data
- The role requires a high degree of cross functional influence and interaction with peers (Managers & Senior Managers) and superiors (Directors) in Regional Merchandise, Commercial Planning, Retail Planning, Supply Planning and IT. Strong collaboration and communication skills are required."
